A very valuable lesson! Extremely eye-opening and refreshing. This is going to give people a great deal of encouragement and motivation to jump start their own online business, the RIGHT way, in 2009.
Here’s what I’m taking away from this..
While others are saying “build a list and sell to them”, you’re stepping up to the plate and saying..
“No! First setup a system that builds your list, then leverage that to build relationships with the list… and the profits will follow”.
It’s time we all start thinking outside of the box. It’s very solid, powerful advice.

Another brilliant endeavour my friend… Unlike so many others online, who claim to want to help the budding marketer, .. you actually do. You cut through the chaff, give content that’s highly insightful understandable and useable. A big well done as usual Alex.. you never fail to deliver:).
If I can make one negative comment in respect of the video itself, I found that not having the usual controls ( something I notice a lot of marketers are now deploying on their video tutorial and sales pages- including Mike Filsame)
It makes it impossiblke to replay any part of the video – if you should miss something for any reason.
This then necessitates a complete rewind to the beginning .. this being the same should you need to review a particular area orpoint of interest on the video. So not as user friendly, for us viewers, as your past compilations.
This is only a small, albeit frustrating, element, and in no ways compromises the overal quality of the video and it’s content! Which as usual, is of the highest standard and what us lesser mortals have come to expect from our guiding light and future GURU of repute –
ALEX JEFFREYS.
I Cant wait for the info on your Mentoring Programme – let’s hope it comes at a price that allows the maximum of internet newbies and silver haired surfers, like me, to be able to come on board.

Too many people don’t check to see what potential customers are looking for. They get a product and then try to flog it hoping that the product will be good enough for people to want to buy…and then wonder why they don’t make any money….I’ve done it myself!!!
But as you so rightly point out…research is the key to success.

Hi Alex, very informative video and very effective system, but as you say yourself and reinforce at the end of the video, for the system to succeed you must have traffic and lots of it. Could do with more instruction on what is the the most difficult aspect of any on-line business, getting visitors to your site. How do you get all these hundreds of visitors each week to build your list ?

I have already started to do a similar thing to the stuff that Dean is doing after I went through GURUS DREAM.
I asked people to tell me what they wanted to learn about and i said i would try and help even though i only have some knowledge, but it’s been great fun.
One of my blog readers Tony asked me to do a video showing how to use GIMP (Free Graphic Software)
So i downloaded the programme, spent a couple of days playing with it and today I uploaded two video tutorials to the blog.

the video is quite informative but takes a little more time to asorb all the info. the info is for a bit more advanced persons than myself as i have been trying in this marketing for a little while and csn’t set up my own website as you can see if you visit the one i listed and i have a few more but making a website and have them have the abillity to download from your site is even more of a nightmare for myself as everyone doesn’t grasp all the technical stuff of working a website and the hmtl you have to use and to start from what you are putting out for myself just leaves me in a dizzy if you can understand. frusturated and overloaded and just spinning my head like the exorsist. you may not want to start from simpleton to marketer as it seems you start with the conseption that every body has the basics down pat but not being able to function the website doesn’t help out at all with your four step method because atleast i can’t get past zero. it seems like a lot of people are offering their formulas for success which all are not the same but most do have fimilarities to them, like they say there are ten different ways to skin a cat and everybody has their version. some say the money is in the list and some say you don’t need a list but whose to say what works for you. you seem to have pretty much the same formula as others and it takes work to get there as i have seen so far there is no overnight wealth package as a lot of them promiss all that is just smoke up the ying yang. keep to what you know and be honest with it. the truth is what you need to hear not a bunch of funky stories with all the same claims to monies made and houses they own just to see the same thing in another marketers email of the same .
You nailed it Alex. I could totally relate to getting stuck for months on different parts of your business model, eg.what is perceived as a good free offer.
I hope you make VIDEOS of your coaching program, unfortunately I will be at my day job and most likely won’t be able to sign up in time.

this video you showed, is excellent.
Its a very simple model that has been working for a long time for many marketers including myself.
It’s all about providing GOOD value to your customer for free on the front end, so they can gain trust in you, then having an upsell, and then building a list and then feeding that list with more value so they will buy from you over and over again.
i am using this model now aswell.

Great video! I have been working with online marketing for several years now although it has been to make other people rich more then myself! I’m ready to step up and take action but how to start is a problem for me, as it is with many others.
I have worked with sqeeze pages and seen them work but they have not been my own. You see, I’m in a very unusual outsourced position that comes with complete trust, a lot of knowledge and backstage tickets to see the very system you are describing… not just see it but see it work! I miss the key steps though in how to put it together myself. I’m looking forward to learning more about your coaching system and making money for me, rather then someone else.

Alex, I am really glad for you man, I can hear the excitement in your voice. Listen Alex I have seen your formula many times. I just didn’t’ know it but now that you have laid it out I recognize it. I have tracked many of the gurus and this is the exact formula that they have put through or have tried to put me through. I just couldn’t see the picture until you pointed it out. Also I have been hung up trying to learn the technical stuff I didn’t know about outsourcing. I thought all you guys had to learn these technical things which has been really hanging me up. Revelation!!
Sometimes Alex I think you sell yourself short. You are also successful because you are a nice guy who cares. I have also been cursed with a conscience and have also passed up a lot of money in my life because it just wouldn’t have been right to take it under the circumstances. I would have made many people unhappy and unsatisfied. You are the same way. I was once doing a deal with someone. I had the money in a attache’ case. the guy asked me if he could keep the case. I said sure and he walked away. I yelled to him aren’t you going to count the money! He said I know your type, your conscience is my protection! He had sized me up and he was right. It really pissed me off that he knew that. I think your the same way Alex. Your conscience is our protection when dealing with you. You would feel actual pain if you cheated us. I share that psychological self punishment with you. I like you, your are a funny guy. You would probably be fun to hang out with. You have a beautiful family and I hope you make millions Alex. How many people can you handle in your coaching program?
The ‘secret’ I still am searching for is “exactly” how you drive the most traffic with the least amount of time…back to the 80/20 rule.
There are lot of techniques and methods to drive traffic but most take 80% of your time.
I look forward to the release of the coaching program and having you as a mentor with your step-by-step ‘system’ you use in your business!

I have actually bought this kind of products for 3 figure $and repeteade this mistake one more time and it was too much fluff in it, and this fluff made me give up this business. I am sure that i cant get in to your coaching program at this point of time.It was three months back when i left my full time job in the dream of making money online. Now i have debts over $5000 and i take all the blame for where i am right now. I just wished i have read Gurusdream when i started few months back. But i think its never too late.
