The words seem to jump out at me when I read Newbies Nightmare! You’ve caught me with my pants down! as one of those who downloded a bunch of freebie ebooks, bought a lot of stuff, read my face-off all the info to the wee hrs on all I could lay my hands on-line and yet have not actually made the move to really start something.Truth is I dont yet know what it is…
What a refreshing report! After six months of spending money looking for the “right” coach, and the “right” information, I’ve become very frustrated, confused, and immobilized.

I have followed the guru of the day, the launch of the week, downloaded forests of materials and still feel as though I am the proverbial Alice down the rabbit hole. I have the intelligence, stamina, determination and work ethic to succeed-but I definitely need 1 coach that I can trust, and the right system in place. I am a vivid example… spend and still no results. However, I have taken action…not one but some websites later…and still no results. The public relations part…I recognize I need to have a marketer’s mind…getting to put myself into a mindset I’ve never had…quite difficult, but not impossible…already trying…and I recognize I do need lots of help. The motivation is here, the tools I can manage…but I was trained in science…do you “SEE” THE PROBLEM! HELP!!!

Another gem! As I stated in previos posts you always overdeliver!Information overload is my main problem and I know it. I get sucked in by great sales copy and get sidetracked from My goals. I was one of the fortunate subscribers that was able to obtain the rights to sell your List Building With Alex course by prrchasing Traffic 2.0 through your link and have sold about 6 copies so far. I’m sure I could have done much better with someone pushing me in the right direction. The reasons I want to be one of the three you choose to coach would be
1- The ability to spend more time with my family
2- To be free from financial worry, I don’t need to be a millionaire, but would be happy to just live confortably.
3-When the above goals are reached, to share my knowledge with as many others as possible to help them achieve the same.
Even If I’m not picked, I’m already a winner just for being on your list and knowing that there are some genuine marketers out there willing to help, and not just trying to empty our wallets of our hard earned cash.

I agree with your viewpoint thoroughly. After 1 1/2 years on the net, I haven’t got anywhere… lost money ( I owe people, don’t know how I’m going to repay) and now I’m scared to buy anything online ( don’t have any money left to play around…). I’ve info overload, exactly as you say, I’m trying to get out of!
Two months back, I took action and started a blog with blogger. It’s about earning money online-tips and opportunities. I’m still confused enough and so, floundering in here.
I’d love to get mentored by you. But can’t pay..

Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts. I do know that earnings can be made online. I was coached by a person to sell on ebay, I am now a power seller. But selling items on ebay is more than a full time job. I will find a way to generate the funds needed, having a coach would increase the time it will take, since my husband lost his employment 10 months ago, it has been a trying time. My grown children have made reference to punching a time clock just to pay the bills but I make that amount on e bay. They do not think I can do it. Oh how I would love to show them that momma knows best. One is in the middle east, a LT in the army, his comment was mom you need training, that cost money. Do I want this, you bet, if you knew the motive behind it, you would not believe it, but living in your home for 22 years and now you could lose it, well it motivates a person. Success is not how much money one makes, I am successful, in all I do…My goal now is to reach financial freedom. Thank you for considering me for your program.
Alex, I just spent the last few hours reading Newbies Nightmare – Its now 3:00am – What a fantastic read. All I can say is for many years I was searching for that golden nugget not realizing I was the golden nugget. Your coaching program has changed the way I look at myself, my life and the people around me. I have become a better person because of you..

I first read Deans blog in like Dec. so bought my domain name. I didn’t know what to put on there but started posting last month then sure enough I see Dean sending another email that he just quit his job. ~Phenominal~
I went back and read his past entries and he WANTED people to build their business and do what he was doing. ~Dum~Dum~ I was as I could have made some real $$$ online too but kept moving onto the next shiny new thing.
My girlfriend left me over this. Understandable as she has 2 children (not mine) and needs to provide to them. I never showed her many results so of course she sees this as a foolish venture… much like the Lottery which she plays :P

Like many people who read and collect information on how to make money online, I too have fallen into the trap and started to get the information overload.
However, I did take action and teamed up with a business partner to start a blog and few websites here and there, but we failed as we did not have a plan just like you said in the report, we dabbled here and there but were not successful.
Now, with all the information coming out of my ears and overflowing my harddrive, and my knowledge growing, I feel its time to get serious and having a mentor who knows his stuff to guide me to success would be just terrific.
And who better than YOU alex to show me the way to riches…

Hi Alex, I read the newby Nightmare book tonight. The subject really hits the mark. I have been working at learning the tools. I have been taken by the marketers that delivered a so called free dvd and then proceeded to rob my bank card for a monthly membership fee. Because of the sneeky way I was treated, I could never trust that marketer. I won’t mention that man’s name because I do not need to hurt him. He will do it to himself.
It doesn’t matter if you pick me or not. It would be great, but thanks for the in depth discussion about likes and trust. It’s what really matters. You have shown something that indicates more class and value, than just taking peoples money by deceipt and trickery.
I am still needing to learn some of the finer points of polishing the tools. I believe that honesty will be rewarded by Trust and followed by success.

A great read Alex. I too like the other replies, I am in Overload mode. I do have the time to learn, but I have run out of cash to buy more knowledge. I have been a trainee Internet Marketer since I went to World Internet Summit in London Nov.’07, but I am still not making IT. I feel my lack of PC skills is holding me back, but my desire to learn has not been diminished. It is great to see someone from this side of the pond become successful. I am sure your goal for this year will be met. My goal is to be debt free, so that I can assist my family, (a grandson called Alex among them), also a bit of travel to some of the places you recommended, and donations to charity as well.

I was waiting eagerly for your new report because I love your writing style and the refreshing honesty which shines through.
As you know, I am not a “newbie” as such and have made my living exclusively online for the past three years. However, I know I have done it the “wrong” way and have chased the money. I am annoyed with myself for ignoring possibly the EASIEST way to build a proper online business and make the BIG money in favour of pursuing one fast buck to the next.
But, the scary and exciting thing is, that if I have made a good living all these years the WRONG way, then what could I achieve by doing things the RIGHT way?
My first step to changing things for myself was signing up to Rich Schefren’s GPS 2.0 program through your link and even though I have only completed the introductory week, it has given me so much to think about and I am already approaching things differently.

How lucky are we?
Another great report – and one that hit me with a revelation…
Success comes from straight-talking and straight-acting.
That report (like “cash cow”, “PLP”, “PLP secrets” and the Twitter report) contained no pitchy sales-fest or BS, just pure, honest TRUTH.
I strive to be more like Alex (and Frank and Mike) with my marketing, in everything I do for my list – I’m in the “dating skills advice” business and organise free teleseminars with experts in the field, plus write reports, hold training calls and give people one-to-one advice…
BUT
I’ve made no sales yet, because I haven’t asked them to buy anything – I keep giving it away for free! I think I’m actually scared to sell to them in case they all unsubscribe!
Anyone else that stupid? :-)
So this is the thing I most need help with!
Anyway, as someone who takes ACTION when given advice and would commit as much time as it takes to implement your coaching (seriously, I’ve pulled plenty of “all-nighters” in the past!) I’d love to be a student. In return, I would offer to promote you and your teaching to, well flippin’ everbody really :-)

Another fantastic book. In fact I had forgotten some of the principles from Guru’s Dream (doh).
It just gets me so excited! All the information about good marketing making selling superflous. I can see it happening. I’ve personally been sucked into a few big launches – I understand how it feels to WANT to spend your money on something, without even really knowing what you’re going to get!
Fortunately though I don’t read sales emails anymore.. like you suggest straight away. It does free the mind and helps you focus on implementation.

Absolute knock out of a report!! You couldn’t be more correct.
About a year and a half ago, I really buckled down, got a product DONE (including all the stuff I hate like the sales letter and setting it up on Clickbank) and actually hit a home run! I had made over $1000 in just 4 weeks.
Then, I got pregnant with baby #5, got VERY ill, and now my baby is 9 months old and am just starting to find that fire again.
I know I need a coach to motivate me, although I do try to do something each day to build my business…it’s hard when I have 5 kids to tend to. I just end up staying up really late (sometimes until 2am!) to do little pieces here and there.
There’s really no doubt I’d achieve success faster with a coach behind me, but I don’t feel like I can ask my husband to let me splurge on it when our budget is so tight.
Anyway, thanks again Alex for this report. I need to re-read it again, but I’m off to implement one more piece in a project I’ve been working on…
Maybe I’ll see you in London someday…but hopefully NOT in the winter. *wink*

I received your report thru a newsletter I signed up for.
I must say “Excellent Report”, it really woke me up.
Many of the issues and problems you hit upon is exactly what is holding me back.
I started “selling” online back in 2003, and I do bring in a passive income thru my efforts, but for the last couple of years I have been trying to break loose and move forward to a “full time income” in the internet marketing world.
After reading your report it slapped me in the face what is holding me back.
In your report you have described me to the “T”.
