Alex, I just finished reading Newbies Nightmare, and I felt like you have been somehow watching me for the last two years. It was like you were describing me to the tee. This is just what I have been searching for. I have been self employed since 2000 buying and selling parts and equipment. The last two years I have been searching for a method to make my living on the Internet, and for the first time after reading all the others, I finaly feel that I have found something that will not only feed me the fish today, but teach me to fish for a life time and feed my self as never before. Just finished Newbies Nightmares and I have to tell you I was inspired. And honestly it takes ALOT for an eBook to inspire me anymore. I have to be honest with you though. I’m at the stage in my internet marketing career where I think all this ” Guru” stuff is CRAP!( read my blog at http://1000dollarchallenge.wordpress.com and you’ll see what I mean) I have been doing this for a while now. I make a few bucks here and there but no where near enough to live on.
I have no money but like you said in your book…I have nothing but time. I would LOVE for someone to prove to me that Internet Marketing is not dead. But , somehow, I dont think that will ever happen.

Hi Alex Newbies Nightmare was great and you are so right I have been on line for about 5 years I cant tell you how many ebook I have read and purchased one of my frist purchase was Mike Filsaime Carbon Copy so if anyone knows what info overload is I do all those great mentors Mike,Rich you name them I am on there list.Your question was why were you left behind? I was sent a link to your “Newbie Nightmare” this morning in an email, I said I was not going to open it, but I did and started reading your manuscript at my current Just Over Broke. It was so fascinating that once I got home and put my 17 month old daughter to bed, I went straight to my computer to finish it.
The reason I started this post saying I was not going to open the email is because over the past 2 weeks I have been unsubscribing to all the marketing emails I receive on a daily basis due to the fact that I find myself reading them and sometimes buying the product before I have given the current product a chance. Once you get into that cycle it can be a vicious one. You referred to information overload and I can get it. I have been trying to focus one project and giving it a chance before moving on to the next. But for some reason your name sounded familiar and I could not place it right off but after a few minutes I remembered where I knew it from. I saw an interview with you and Mike Filsaime for the “Butterfly Marketing” giveaway. But anyway, I am glad I opened and downloaded the link and read your manuscript. It gives me a new perspective on “Internet Marketing”.
A little about my background, I had my own residential real estate business for the past 12 years. I started in real estate when I was 23 and did very well for my self over the years. But Oct ’08 saw a huge shift in my business due to our current state of affairs and with a (at the time) 8 month old little girl I decided it was time to look at different opportunities. I had a real estate coach who got me into PPC, for my website, and from there I was very curious about how to make money online. So I started doing research, buying products and learning everything I could about the business. Now keep in mind I am not a tech person at all so the learning curve has been steep and I have learned things about programs,websites,squeeze pages, landing pages, etc. over the past 10 months that I really did not want to know but anyway that is the way is goes.
I believe strongly in coaching and mentoring programs. I had several real estate coaches over the years that taught me valuable techniques and lessons that helped me move ahead of the game much faster. I have not been in a position since I got out of real estate to pay for an in depth program so after reading your manuscript and seeing the offer at the end I decided to leave this comment.
I must and will succeed in this business because 1) I know I can achieve anything I put my mind to 2) I do not have any other options and 3) I believe it can give me and my family the lifestyle we deserve and that I have been trying to build through real estate. The real estate business is never going to be the same again and after 12 years I do not want to go back into it. Even though the past 6 months have been difficult financially, I have not had to worry about all the unknowns that go on with that industry today.
I would make a great student and I am very teachable. My uncle told me one time that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Well, I am ready!

I am 73 years young. Was a child of the Grapes of Wrath movement to California. My family were the migrant farm workers in Ca. in the late 30′s early 40′s. We had poor radio, no T.V. and computers came 50 years later. I worked hard considered myself a success until I got sick. I used all of my retirement accounts/funds to save my life in 1989 and struggled big time since. I don’t have a lot of time to rebuild that by traditional means and have turned to trying internet marketing as a solution to take care of a 96 year old mother, an ailing husband and myself in a style greater than Social Security.
I bought one package in September 2009 which set up my website through Startlogic but there it failed. It was a step 1, 2, 3 program. The hype stated they would hold my hand support me all the way tell me what to do. I thought: teach me to build a program. NO! No!
Step 1. Was purchase with a monthly charge with no proof or even hardly suggested proof in Step 1 of at least a return on initial charge or return on monthly cost + the anual fee for Website.
Step 2. Was more expensive with Google ad-words advertising withconfusing instructions that cost me $350.00 in three days time eating up money I didn’t have to play with as in the rent and groceries money.
Step 3. Would have added even more to the expenses but never explained EXACTLY how this was going to make huge profits requiring a tremendous leap of faith from a newbie who knew nothing more about the computer than word processing had an email address and could manage to understand how to read and send a few emails.
I am willing to give it my all for the kind of coaching that tells me how to BUILD or put into place a system that works and instruction that streamlines it to perfection and net me the money my family and I so desperately need TODAY.
What I read in your report I like, makes some sense trust has to come later. The building is where this “newbie” fumbled because no solid instructions dealing with Internet terms/language that I could understand were given. That lacks value.
Life did get in the way back then. After 10 hours working on this each day, for a week I ended in the hospital with exhaustion from failing, or not understanding, making errors costing me dollars I did not have, couldn’t back out, delete, cancel the mess and promissed on-line support flopped by “no response to emails or help desk”, I have been scared to death to try again.
Something like this is my only chance. People out there are not going to hire a gray haired, 73year old woman. I have to create my own income stream.
I am not looking for sympathy just instruction, direction and a chance to improve all situations. Thank you

I am just sitting here trying to figure out what inspired me to read your book, and yes I am glad I did.
I have been online for some time and find myself falling backing into the same old routine, that is selling and not marketing. Your book truly inspired me and I will read it again before I waste anymore time doing what doesn’t work.
Just a bit about me, my dad died when I was 9 which left my mom to raised 5 boys on her own. My mom is my inspiration, we didn’t have much but we always had what we needed. Family has always been an important part in my life but I got caught up in the corporate rat race and even though I was home most nights I still missed many important moments. I woke up one morning and realized my daughter was 14 and my son was 11, where did the time go.
My passion now is to be at home with my family and make the most with the time I have left before they leave and start their own families. I just turned 40 and with my moms inspiration and my strong will, I will retire when I am 45.

Tell you what Alex, I could really learn a lot by being one of your students. I have made up my mind that I am going to be a successful internet marketer. I have had some direction in the past, but I know that I could break lose if I had a mentor to take me by the hand to show me the things that still seem to be holding me back.
I have been looking for a mentor for a while, but I have yet to find someone that I truly believe could teach me what I really need to know. I have an abundance of IM knowledge. Apparently I discovered your report about 20 minutes too late. I am basically that guy that you described that purchases every e-book I can get my hands on, takes action within 5 minutes of opening the e-book, but fails to see much of a return. I am 26 years old and recently lost my job. I decided that, instead of going out and looking for another job, I would focus 100% of my attention on building an internet marketing business. I spend about 14 hours per day building blogs, writing articles, experimenting with PPC, promoting CPA offers online and offline, trying to give away free e-books to build mailing lists, etc. etc. But for whatever reason, nothing seems to pay off. I think it’s just because I put so much effort in to so many different things, I fail to focus on any one big thing in general. The reason I would make a great apprentice is that I have the opportunity to focus on the job at hand full time, I have money saved up to get the business off the ground, and I am ready to take massive action to get things rolling.
Unfortunately I discovered the e-book at about 11:30 pm on June 24th. By the time I finished reading it, it was 12:20am, June 25th. A day late and a dollar short. Oh well. Just reading this may have been the kick in the ass that I needed to make a profitable business. You have changed my mindset from selling to people to giving, and building trust with people. That trust is a powerful thing. I know that I prefer to buy products from people I trust and feel that I have gotten to know.
This was an amazing e-book and I can’t thank you enough for offering for free.

I just got your Newbies Nightmare and read it in between taking my wife to 2 doctor’s visits today.
It was a great read and highlighted what I need to change in order to make a dollar. Although I’ve been trying for many years and self taught enough to build an amateurish site and fiddled with html, I have yet to even come close to breaking even financially and never been able to come up with something unique and valuable to give away, although I did do some giveaways to eBay clients via a dropshipper. My ebay rating is still 100% but I have not tried to sell anything for the past 6 months. I bought stuff from Frank Kern, Ewen Chia, Tom Hua, etc; and am on lists with Jason James, Shawn Casey, Rich Schefren, etc; and my main email has been spammed almost out of existence and my address has been used by spammers, not by the pros, but because I was silly enough to have it on my site. So you have convinced me to forget the old email system and open a new one and settle down to some properly planned marketing, including finding some decent things to give free. I would love to be in your mentoring group but unfortunately I have run out of resources currently but after reading your email I am confident that I can build a viable business eventually and hopefully get started with you.

Money loves speed and information overload are all too familiar cords with me.
As is normal for me I am a day late and a dollar short…..why? because I was too busy reading marketing material and info products so did not get to this until after your posted deadline.
So the opportunity to be included as a possible “winner” of your offer will unfortuanetly will not come to pass.

Thanks for your ebook. This has really addressed some core problems that many newbies like myself, face in this business.
Having been online trying to make money for a while now, I have been wondering what is holding me back. Of course I’ve made a little, but I have kept asking myself, why is it so difficult? Why can’t I make some good money like some of the other high income earners?
The internet world is getting crazier than ever daily… and no matter how smart some of us think we are, without the right guidance (mentoring), we end up getting lost in the mix.
I have reached a stage right now where I have to stop and take stock of my situation. I have to really ask myself “what next”? Am I going to continue going around in circles, or do I need to say as Harry Truman said…
“The buck stops here!”…
Because it really does!
I guess its *CRUNCH TIME* time for those of us who have been struggling for way too long. We have to decide where we want to go, take a bold step and let the universe take over.

ps: back in 2007 I had access to a video from a seminar where was Rich Shefren on stage. He said that time something like “if you have a business and that business require your presence and attention permanently, then you don’t have a business, you have a job”.
I hate him for that :-P. Coz I knew it, but can’t put it into words so clear.

I really hope this part doesn’t come out all whiney… :-) I did join a guru coaching program a couple years ago and I was flying high with hope and expectation. That program was around $6,000 with no offer of a refund or guarantee. There were 12 weeks of rigidly scripted coaching and my coach focused on eBay first and for way too long. I KNOW how to eBay. :-) Then there just wasn’t enough time to focus on one of my major blocking points (website, opt-in page, download/thank you page). Then, after that coaching ended, I was completely out of steam for awhile.
But I’ve popped back and I still believe in Internet Marketing. You are such a giver and humanitarian. I certainly wish I’d have run across you a couple years ago! :-)

I started online 2yrs ago almost and people laughed. I STOPPED a good 6-7 months ago as i literally felt i had no idea. I had been signed up to so many lists for so many things it was unbelievable. I had over 15000 unread emails all offering mad things or they no what the gurus dont want you too, you no where im going with this im sure and the mad thing is I ONLY DELETED THEM ALL TODAY. my plan was to just wait for the mailings to come again and unsubscribe one by one. Thats how i come across this report, i went in to the mail to get the unsubscribe link and something caught my eye, couldnt tell you what excatly but i couldnt not read this report as i thought ive read so many things whats one more. I honestly reckon (and hope lol) i will get somewhere this time just from reading this report. I wish i could have found out about your offer sooner as i wouldnt have minded a mentor, although to be honest even if you had picked me i live in the uk with a wife 2 kids (2&1), work 25hrs a week, have debt and most of all no damn passport lol, an i aint even 23 til september, not to worry though as i learnt something important “An internet marketer markets”. A silly phrase like this and it falls into place BlOODY MAD, but bloody good. Cheers for the confidence mate

I just got a copy of your book and read it tonight. I wish I had not missed the opportunity to be able to post before the deadline. I am not blowing smoke up your skirt by saying that it was the best I have ever read, but your points were right on the mark.
I have been online for a while now and have a full time job too which stifles me at times. I am trying to position myself to retire in a year or two so I have been trying to get a foundation built to have a business ready and waiting for me when I do. Well, I guess I have to say that the reason I have stuck with it is that I just love it.
I really wish there had been personal computers when I was much younger. I did take Cobol programming, but the computer was an entire room with it’s own air conditioning unit. It took a whole semester to write the program and punch the cards and try to get the program to run….mine never did. A little overwhelming I would say….At any rate, the thing that I took from your book was that I have definitely been spending my time learning the tools and it becomes a vicious cycle. You never seem to think you know enough.
I have to say that your book may have just inspired me to stop the madness and focus a bit more. Maybe you really can teach an old dog new tricks!
